So we've slacked, this was supposed to be a monthly thing. Since people are now getting this address, I figured I would give a quick update of what we're into lately.
Alise and I got the opportunity to go to the smallest state in the union, and found it r
eally has a lot to offer. Besides staying at our friends' house which is on the original Post Road from Boston to Providence to New York (and built in the mid-1700s), we also got to go to Block Island, which is a nice "touristy" island with some cool sights and sounds.
We've also had the opportunity to check out Vermont's foliage season. As was the case in most of the U.S. because of this summer's weather patterns, there wasn't much red, bu
t the yellows and oranges this year were amazing. The picture below is actually of New Hampshire, it is the Connecticut River and the Wintasticutt Mountain, which is right across the road from our condominium neighborhood.
We've also been able to participate in a wine making day at a friend's, friend's house, in a suburb outside Boston where our friend grew up. This was in mid-August.
This week I was in Washington, D.C., to testify in front of the Agriculture Committee for the U.S. Senate talking about the dairy crisis. Alise was home alone, but we got to attend the Rocky Horror Picture Showing in Brattleboro with full audience participation. It was a lot of fun.
Hopefully soon we can put up the website with our wedding pictures. They look great and we got them a long time ago. But between moving, a computer crashing, and us traveling so much, we just haven't had time to get that part of our life organized yet.
